Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

3) Not care.

That. My year segments on the solstices and equinoxes (because I have a fear of winter and short days) and my birthday/the new year, to a lesser degree.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My year segments on the solstices and equinoxes

I do that too. I segment more on these, but I still slice and dice the year up in other ways.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

July 1 really doesn't say much to me for me except for the convention of fiscal years, which means that I get to that date and think 4) What Did I Forget To Turn In That Was Absolutely Due Yesterday?

information libertarian

I go to the new fiscal year, too. In the library, they close certain systems (linked to finances) for the year-end rollover two days in advance.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yep, we're handling a bit of "OMG tomorrow's a new fiscal year and we have to get these eleven-billionty things signed right now!" panic at my office, too. We're not part of a university, but we sort of budded off of one, and it looks like the chronology stuck.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My thought - this year, at least - is "it's July 1 and I'm off tomorrow! I have a FOUR-day weekend!"

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My thought - this year, at least - is "it's July 1 and I'm off tomorrow! I have a FOUR-day weekend!"

Me too. I just came back from a five-day vacation, and I so need another one. One that doesn't end, preferably. With pay.

People on the internet are being very wrong today, in many ways, and I have a risk log to complete for an meeting sometime tomorrow and my head hurts and also? Whine. Total whine.
