"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It works great.

In msbelle news, I used up the last chicken breasts in the freezer, the frozen fried rice, and a can of pineapple. Oh, and the last of a bottle of wine. It was supposed to be rice wine, but that`s the problem with running stuff down for the summer. I am not actually moving, so I run out of stuff I will eventually need to replace. But doing good overall.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Woo! In return for enduring the banquet at my husband's conference, we won a GPS. Which we may sell. But still!

my food report for the night:

I had a salad (perishables on verge of going bad) and finished up a jar or artichoke hearts, used parts of cans of sliced black olives and water chestnuts. Also drank up the last smoothie from the fridge.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Well, I am getting ready for my weekend away. M comes in this morning, and he's all "I don't want to go to camp today."

I'm all "Er...why?"

He's just a little pouty; I was all "Well, you really have to today, sweetie, cause I'm people's ride and we're leaving at 11."

"Oh. Well...ok..."

Ugh, I leave in 2.5 hours and I have so much to do. Must finish coffee and get to it!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Soon I will shower and dress, then we will head to the hotel. Granted, the hotel is 10 minutes from our house, but still...

Hey, I discovered I get an ESPN channel that I didn't even know existed . . .or I have tennis on my tv right now!

I missed the first set of the Henin match - but the second set was lots of fun.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My parents sent me a cool thing today- a poster announcing a conference that the university my grandfather taught at in the 20s and 30s is having in his honor.

He was your grandfather? That's so cool.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh, msbelle. Any way to recreate them quickly, or are you going home?

He was your grandfather

Yep! I agree, he was cool.
