Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Art Crawl!!!

We're under a tornado warning and my office is the emergency shelter - so we are suddenly jampacked full of people.

Luckily the warning is due to expire right when our work day is over.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh, wow. Wow. Australian politics is actually exciting this morning! [link]

Our Prime Minister, the Mandarin-speaking Kevin Rudd, is being challenged for the leadership by his deputy, Julia Gillard. If she wins (which she's tipped to do), she'll become Australia's first female PM.

Rudd didn't even get to finish out a full term.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

That storm that sumi posted about just hit here a short while ago. It's a very dark charcoal grey outside. I think I'll stay here at the office for another 30 minutes or so and see if it'll stop raining.

No tornado warning that I know of, yet.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm scooting about the office, trying to geek out about the tennis, and all anyone's talking about is footie or basketball trades. WhatEV. At least I got the French guy's attention for a second, even if he has no idea how the game is scored.

I'm just not one of the cool kids.

At least my skirt is short.

Go underground, midwesterners.

Because books.

Footie? This is different than footSie, isn't it?

It is now so humid, I think my bones are melting.

I had the same problem. They all wanted to talk about Australia-Serbia. The tennis match is a record-breaker! Priorities, people!

We also have the TV on for the leadership spill. That's fair enough - this is the first time (IIRC) that a PM has been dumped by his own party within his first term.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I think those are tornado sirens. Crap.
