Because books.

Footie? This is different than footSie, isn't it?

It is now so humid, I think my bones are melting.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm scooting about the office, trying to geek out about the tennis, and all anyone's talking about is footie or basketball trades. WhatEV. At least I got the French guy's attention for a second, even if he has no idea how the game is scored.

I had the same problem. They all wanted to talk about Australia-Serbia. The tennis match is a record-breaker! Priorities, people!

We also have the TV on for the leadership spill. That's fair enough - this is the first time (IIRC) that a PM has been dumped by his own party within his first term.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I think those are tornado sirens. Crap.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That storm that sumi posted about just hit here a short while ago. It's a very dark charcoal grey outside. I think I'll stay here at the office for another 30 minutes or so and see if it'll stop raining.

Heh. I set off on foot to the train station . Then it started raining. Then the time between the lightning and thunder started dropping from 8 seconds to two seconds before I finally made it to the train station.

I am quite wet, despite an umbrella.

I don't hear any. Wait, turning off the stereo helps. Yep. Sirens.

Dunno where I'm supposed to go in this building.

I turned on the tv to get a more detailed picture. The warning includes the Loop.

Sirens again.

Ugh. Am working at a doctors office and just overheard s convo of a mom turning down gardasil for her daughter because she wants the daughter to wait til she's married to have sex. Great, lady. Can you ensure that will happen? Ensure she won't choose otherwise? Be forced to do otherwise? That even if she does wait, her husband will have waited? Or will never cheat? Hrmph.
