What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

And thus the whirligig of time brings in his revenges.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

But haven't there been cricket matches that lasted longer?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But haven't there been cricket matches that lasted longer?

Involving 20 more people, mostly standing around and taking breaks for cucumber sandwiches, yes.

I remember hearing stories from the cricket coach, who was Pakistani, about matches that were adjourned when a monsoon hit ... to be resumed a day (or a week) later.

A cricket match can normally go up to five days, but it's really nothing in exertion comparison--it's a more relaxed version of baseball, with tea breaks. And better clothes (please don't like to oldschool one day Packer uniforms, bt).

I think, however, they only play six hours a day, and Mahut and Isner played seven today (ten total).

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I just remembered my parents are coming in to town this weekend. I am itching to leave work early so I can go home and clean.

Imma back ita up that tea lattes are totally delicious. And the bomb. And I get my mint tea latte with chocolate powder (and yes milk) instead of vanilla. Delicious.

Whoa on Wimbledon.

I know cricket's nothing to any of the sports that require exertion - the college cricket team I used to hang out with usually didn't break a sweat. At least not while playing cricket. It does imply, however, that anyone used to cricket has the patience to sit through a multi-day game of some sort. The players? MEN OF IRON

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Yeah, cricket can be really quite relaxed. Much easier to watch than its reputation would suggest, too. Mainly on account of how you can bring a picnic and wine.

The sad news is that the Guardian blogger is off tomorrow and someone else will be doing the liveblog instead. They have quite an act to follow.

Good God, the British Navy are here. (To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Cdn Navy.) The bars will not be safe.
