"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Next Sunday maybe? Or possibly the following Wednesday? Departure plans are currently being tempered by health. OR! We could try for the way back, at the end of July, which is a) more likely I`ll actually be taking the route through KC and b) would give us more time to figure something out. I might be in Dallas sometime late summer, too.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

As my friend said on his status " did Portugal really have to open up the entire can of whoop ass on North Korea? I mean, they just could have used a little. The entire can was unnecessary."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey, isn't this where we were discussing songs with our names? I just had one pop up for megan walker on my iTunes.

Cool beans. I have the extra fondness for St. Etienne because Bob Stanley from that group is also a journalist and gave us a great review for the Lost in the Grooves book in some UK Paper.

I've finished all my freelance work and am oddly unstressed this morning. I got everybody off to their various places in a timely fashion (Matilda to preschool, Emmett to Krav camp) and even made it home to snag the Good Parking.

My only responsibility now is to scoop up some CDs to sell at Amoeba and lurk around the mailbox hoping for some of my outstanding checks to arrive. I billed you, dammit! Why don't you pay me!

Speaking of paying bills, I just made my car payment for the month, and my current balance is $2222. It's the little things that please me!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Very cool! The first thing of theirs I heard was their cover of "Only Love Will Break Your Heart," back in 1995.

I think I'm not hyperthyroid any more. I've noticed my appetite waning and it's 73 in here but my hands are cold to the point of pain. Yay?

Not wrong.

Hint: If you are ever hesitating again, take a quick look at my profile addy.

Given the band name, I was hoping it was in French, but alas.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The obscure veggies quiz

I got 44% (4 of 9) even though I guessed on every one.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Reschedule your birthday.

I think that's the basic plan.

The work lunch happened, so I am fed now. One point in the yay column.

Doctor is going to see me at 3:40 for my goddamned Zoloft itchiness, so another point in the yay (I guess) column.

And the rest of it is just going to happen how it happens.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just totally gaffed. You know when you stick your head into a meeting room because you have it booked and the other people need to leave? Apparently you don't do that when it's the president of the company in there.

I didn't realise it was her! And just maybe my boss didn't notice I did it. Sheesh. I don't think I'm in actual trouble, but it was a lead-footed thing to do.
