A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

That gift is awesome!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Uncle's Day gift.

That is very cool.

Is there any useful thing to be done with stale (unused) coffee grounds?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

In Little Women , they used coffee (or was it tea?) to dye a white dress tan.

Sorry, I'm not much help.

Neato! Grace's hair is adorable!

Took brother and fam out to lunch for Father's Day. Then bbq at his friend's with a new wrinkly baby. Cuddly.

Tomorrow, I get the boys and then the next day, off to the parents'. All is good.

put them in soil, I think plants like them.

Thanks ya'll. It meets the requirements as something that will not collect dust and Uncle G can do it when it fits his schedule, and can take friends. also? price was right for a unique once in a lifetime probably gift. I was very proud of myself, and it was dumb luck, not planned.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Coffee grounds can be used as fertilizer to make alkaline soil more acidic, I think.

Composting, aurelia. You can also keep them in a container by the sink to scrub hands with if you cut onions or prep stinky fish -- they neutralize the odors.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Coffee is a high-nitrogen soil amendment, but unbrewed it will be distinctly on the acid side.

Soil and compost aren't really part of my current living arrangements. I guess I could try the freezer thing but I wonder... does it really absorb smells or just supersede them?
