They can't find the installer, who is not answering his phone. They're going to see if someone else can bring me a set today.
If they do, I can try to turn the fact that the cable guy left after telling me he would come back and without telling me about this policy into a reason for him to come back later today, but what I suspect will happen is that all of this is going to have to happen next weekend, and I will turn into a screaming harpy until Comcast agrees to waive the visit fee and Best Buy refunds some of the money they are charging me.
Oh yes! Happy birthday, Plei!
Every goddamned "new release" in SciFi/Fant and Romance Categories at B&N.com is an Austen, Bronte or Carroll re-release with modernized covers.
I mean, yay, classics, but, wtf? Dudes, I want to see what's NEW.
Also, I don't feel well, and would kill for a nap, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get one.
Happy Birthday, Plei!

This friend of mac's that we have over today. Not a bad kid, but I will not miss him. He challenges me on things when I ask them to stop or to leave somewhere and even when I answer questions or make informational statements. He is super competive about stupid things which is not great for mac, a bit of a know it all.
Happiest of birthdays, Plei! (Until the next one, and the one after that, and so forth, but may this one be the happiest so far)
I've de-leafed and partly de-mossed the backyard, taken out the recycling, put a tiny dent in the giant mountain of paper on the kitchen table, cleaned all the counters, fed and amused and read to Matilda, and gotten her down for a nap. And now I'm not really sure what to do with myself. There's a ton of
Glee
on the Tivo, but I don't want to turn the TV on. Too cold to sit out on the porch, too early for a drink...oh. Oh! She's sure to be out for at least the next hour, and Hec and Emmett won't be back for at least that long. I believe it's time for a midafternoon Lush bath bomb bath.
