I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The next two people I asked were able to point me to a tiny jar of "Wild Grain" hummus.

This is why I have baby carrots but no hummus.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hey, even my crappy local grocery store has hummus!

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I think Cashmere doth protest too much.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mother conjures an image of a female person.

To me, mother conjures an image of a female person with offspring (biological or no). Without ever having had offspring, not a mother. So being their mother is not a leap at all. Said female person is not *my* mother. I am offspring of just the one female person. And I think that's a perfectly meaningful distinction.

My womanhood has no relationship to anyone else. It's not dependent on anything. But I can only be a mother if there is offspring involved. And I will only be that offspring's mother.

Maybe in addition to nuclear weapons, North Korea has also been developping soccer players?

I know lots of people who said that coming out of that movie.

I wonder if Brazil will adjust in the second half and come out stronger.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

nuclear-powered soccer players?

And, in wrong-headed grocery news, my aunt once told me about looking all over the store's produce section for phyllo (filo?) leaves.
