Keep breathing!

Msbelle - the Strand was the "must visit" place, other than my grandparents' house (which was the real point of the trip) for every NYC visit of my childhood. Eight miles of bookshelves! Haven't been there in years, wish I could go with you. Have fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, laundry in, dishwasher running, bathroom more or less clean.

I need to do some cleaning today...so far I have managed to set off my smoke detectors while trying to cook breakfast (oops!). Apparently while cooking eggs, I don't need to put on the fan above the stove, but while making hash browns, I do. Good to know...

So I was watching the pilot episode of "Pretty Little Liars" today, which is this sort-of terrible new ABC Family show, and obviously most of the cast is 20-25 year olds playing 16, which, honestly, I have no problem with.

And then Bianca Lawson showed up. I was like.. "Kendra the Vampire Slayer! Girl. You've been playing a teenager on TV since like 1994. It's time to stop now." Seriously. The other girls look vaugely 16. Bianca Lawson.... does not.

(still think she's great; really enjoyed her on The Vampire Diaries, but.... she looks hilariously out of place in this show)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oy. Yeah, I think once you hit your 30s, it's time to stop playing teenagers.

Yeah. Or, I mean, if someone was a freakishly youthful 30 year old, then we could talk. But it's not as though there aren't more age appropriate actors running around who could be cast instead.

Although, I do feel slightly hypocritical as one of my favorite things about the Vampire Diaries is Ian Somerhalder, and while his character isn't supposed to be high school, he's supposed to be grouped with the kids, I think, while he's older than some of the people playing their parents. And on that show, I just don't care.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Well, I did not make it to the strand. Instead I bought 25 cent back issues of comics for mac. Now I need to get home.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yeah, but Ian Somerhalder is also in with the Town Elders, so he has to be at least old enough that they take him seriously, right? Also, the woman playing the aunt is freakishly young, I think.

She is freakishly young! I hadn't thought. She doesn't look super young, even when hanging out with the history teacher, so I had no idea. She's only 2 years older than the girl playing her niece.

Hmm, I guess the town elders do take him seriously. But then no one tells him to stop being a creeper for hitting on all the high school girls.

(Why do I watch such silly TV, is what I want to know! But I totally adore the Vampire Diaries)
