Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

I can understand my youngest nephew over the phone. This is amazing and huge. Can't wait to see him.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, Friday Night Lights. You never stop breaking my heart, and I love you for it. Damn.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am sick. Ugh.

Sweet milky tea is making things better.

Last night, I had patchy sleep, and weird dreams about anime unicorn sex. Which was NOT hawt, and made even my dream self think "This is so weird."

When I say Tyson was hot, I say I believe the ambient temperature around him was higher than around the other people at the party. Jaysus.

Tyson is a friend of a friend, and I have a picture with me and him. I look terrible, he looks okay. He's actually really nice and hot in person. Shorter than I expected though, he's about 6'1", I think, just a skosh taller than me in heels that night.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

sara, you looked fabulous in those pics! I love the dress.

Much ~ma to everyone who needs it. The universe just needs to back off everyone right now. Thanks for the good wishes for my mother. She's still weighing her options, but I feel better knowing that good people are vibing for her.

ION, today was supposed to be the first Friday off of my summer Fridays off (need to use PTO before the end of the FY in August). Guess who ended up working from quarter to nine this morning until 7:15 tonight, without an acknowledgement by my boss that I was technically ON VACATION? My direct report kept apologizing, but the crisis wasn't her fault. Oh, I will be having a talk with him and taking another day off. If it comes down to it, the cell phone will be shut off on Fridays as well. Not. Pleased.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

oh. Maria, that absolutely blows. Is there a way to be comped for your time?

I had a feeding Grace error tonight (a tube was left open so the formula went cascading down her into the crib) and I gave her the first home blended meal instead of formula. Let's hope I don't accidentally starve her or make her sick. (Tonight's formula is made of coconut milk, prune juice, applesauce, sweet potatoes, rice, flax oil, olive oil, avocado, molasses, whey protein and maple syrup).

Trust my rage

It seems like 10-15 years ago, I remember being told that resumes should be 1 page long, maybe 2. Well, mine is now at 3, but I only have vital and relevant stuff on there. (And I've moved a lot, so that means lots of new jobs every 2-3 years).

eta: I managed to squeeze it onto 2 pages, but I'm still curious if there is a consensus.

I gave Loki some outside time. I've created a monster. May be buying halter and leash today.

Market: cherries (2 kinds), strawberries, spinach, empanadas. Oh, and a free thyme plant from the spinach people!

Also? My tomato plant has a tomato! Yay, a $2 grape tomato! And I'll be gone next week. Hmph.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think 10-15 years ago your resume should have been one page, but now you have 10-15 more years of stuff to put on it! I bet there's a lawyer consensus, but I don't know it.

Oh, I will be having a talk with him and taking another day off.

I certainly hope so!
