Trust my rage

It seems like 10-15 years ago, I remember being told that resumes should be 1 page long, maybe 2. Well, mine is now at 3, but I only have vital and relevant stuff on there. (And I've moved a lot, so that means lots of new jobs every 2-3 years).

eta: I managed to squeeze it onto 2 pages, but I'm still curious if there is a consensus.

I gave Loki some outside time. I've created a monster. May be buying halter and leash today.

Market: cherries (2 kinds), strawberries, spinach, empanadas. Oh, and a free thyme plant from the spinach people!

Also? My tomato plant has a tomato! Yay, a $2 grape tomato! And I'll be gone next week. Hmph.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think 10-15 years ago your resume should have been one page, but now you have 10-15 more years of stuff to put on it! I bet there's a lawyer consensus, but I don't know it.

Oh, I will be having a talk with him and taking another day off.

I certainly hope so!

Sara, what are you doing on this trip?

Familying. Going to visit my brother and co, then ferrying eldest nephew to my parents', stay a few days there, back via an overnight at my brother's.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

10-15 years ago, I was told that lawyers resumes should be one page, but that that didn't apply to other jobs.

Also, I don't like my cats this morning.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I would say the 1-2 pages is a good rule of thumb (for non academia), but if your experience warrants going into a third, I think that's fine. Just make sure that everything pushing it out is actually relevant and necessary. (Hint: do not list European cities you have visited.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am having such an attitude problem today. We`re here in Gallup to do a native youth conference, but yesterday was a total fail and we didn`t get set up or rehearse or anything. Both of us are sick; I suspect the SO has strep and there`s no immediate care center we can find. I think we`ll see some of our local buddies today so that will help, but right now I just can`t deal. They`ve declared a state of emergency here because of the number of suicides; 35 attempts in this county. 8 successful just in the little neighboring town here. I know it`s important work, this is what I do, there`s a group here from my home church in Kansas, and still. All I want to do is lie on my hotel bed (which we mistakenly booked as smoking, so that`s not all that awesome either.) and cough. C`mon, self, let`s get after it.
