Wow, you've really mastered the power of positive giving-up.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I got all excited and was about to recommend my remedy from Lehman`s, when I remembered that mine is bacteria for my septic tank. You guys probably don`t have septic tanks.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Synergon makes me miss Better Off Ted.

Meara came to my house for Thanksgiving once, and brought green bean casserole. I’m sure that we looked hilarious, this very polite southern black family poking dubiously at the casserole and sneaking glances at one another. (for the record, it was good.)

Goofy dancing picture:

Ooh! You look fab! And the shoes are hot!

WHY WOULD ANYONE BUILD THAT?

Are you really asking that? Have we forgotten the power (and danger) of geek curiosity?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My University has a policy that they do not pay late fees. Ever. For any reason. So when AP sits on something, there is little to no consequence. They won't even pay them when it is our fault (like if I forgot to submit payment. It is just university policy, and it is so weird.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh dear.

Batman's made up his mind, he's keeping Superman's baby

Here's a little bit of lunacy to round out your week. We give you Batman, pregnant with Superman's child. [

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Uh, Batman would be a terrible mother. IJS.

Yeah, but a picture is somehow... worse.

Uh, Batman would be a terrible mother. IJS.

He'd probably just let Alfred take care of the baby.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

But instead of bronzed baby booties, the kid would eventually wind up with a glass case for its onesie when the inevitable happens...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am LOVING his new book. I just read a section last night where he was hanging out at the super divey bar around the corner from me where we used to do karaoke in a Comme des Garcons suit.

It's really interesting. I loved his bit on the amateur pornographers that he had loved and revered, and finally got to meet. Just a whole 'nother universe I wouldn't have known about. Very specialized.

They're showing a slate of Cousteau specials on TCM. This conjures both childhood memories from the 70s (the music, the voiceover) and associations with The Life Aquatic (the red watch caps!).
