this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Teppy, you know there is a "clear history" link in the search window, right?

I just looked -- maybe I'm using something that isn't the same toolbar as you guys are using -- mine is in the upper right corner of Firefox.

Also, envious of The Boy!

He texted me to tell me that it is hot and the frosty malt vendor wasn't coming to their seats.

My heart bleeds.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Steph, I'm saying you can just highlight your previous search term and hit delete. Nothing fancy! I just don't want to look at whatever it was all day...

Oh, I am on IE. In mine, if you click on the caret (drop down menu icon), in the bottom right of the search listings, there is a link that reads "clear history".

You know you can just delete it? (I hate that, too)

Yeah, but that irks me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, but that irks me.

Me too.

Anyway, it looks like my switch to Chrome is gonna be sorta' permanent, so it's no longer an issue for me as you can just type search terms into the address bar thing (like you could do back in the Netscape days).

I've pretty much switched to Chrome as well, once it got extensions. Of course, if Firefox does something really shiny for the next big version I'll probably shift right back.

Because books.

Ever since I got the new laptop with Windows 7, Firefox crashes or freezes at least once daily. It never used to, so I'm assuming it's related, and man, it bugs.

Have you tried disabling all your add-ons? If any of them have a Windows 7 issue then it could be causing it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Firefox is dead to me. I switched to Chrome as my default a while back, but I always have two browsers open for the sake of some things where I have multiple login names going at once. Chrome+FF turned into Chrome+Safari 5 as soon as they announced extensions, and I haven't seen a beach ball or heard a jet engine since.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Opera, you freaks.
