"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Well there's also a woman with an open red shirt and no bra in "the river of crawling death," but she seems alert enough. Her brave man seems to be willing to go to bat to keep those tatas safe.

Perhaps it's the same woman and the sight of her red shirt and bralessness just drives random small wildlife crazy.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Or the man attacked by lobsters (which are red, so they've already been cooked).

And they're calling them crabs.

The killer otter made me snort out loud.

I picture the EIC of these magazines as J. Jonah Jameson.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

So, last night, after 11pm when I was complaining about insomnia? I feel asleep soon after. And didn't wake up until 1pm this afternoon. 12 plus hours of sleep. wtf??? And neither of my kids woke me? And I'm not sick? That NEVER happens.

Luckily, since I work from home a fair bit, no one at work freaked about me not being there. Just means I'll be working until much later today than normal. I'm still flabbergasted.

Because books.

You must have really needed it, Suzi.

Weather.com tells me it's 54 here right now. No wonder I'm freezing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, my old job has a new CEO. This year, instead of the previous free time Summer Friday situation, the new CEO is making them increase the M-R workday to shorten Friday. I have already seen one pissed-off Facebook post... we'll see what else shows up! Classic. I have to say, while I'm always happy to take free time off, I think it's fair to remember that you aren't actually owed it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sorry to hear about the hard school day, msbelle, but glad it's ending in a snuggle fest.

My day has been great--took MiL on some errands and had lunch at Joans on Third, then came home and made a couple tee-shirts. But my afternoon/evening is going to be stressful. Franny's after care has a big production tonight and she's singing in it. And the after care events are always chaotic and full of over tired, over stimulated children. Fun!

We always had to do that at our office. And we were split into groups, A and B, so the whole office wasn't gone every Friday afternoon.

It's not uncommon. And as far as I can tell, my job doesn't even HAVE Summer Fridays! Woe.
