Because books.

I vote anything other than Hannah (Fucking) Montana. If I hear the theme song one more time today, I will cry.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

For those of you who care about such critical distinctions, Hannah Montana is unendurable crap to watch and iCarly is mildly diverting. (It's no Ned's Declassified, though.)

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Our heat combating plan today was to go to the ice rink. Which worked. It's deliciously cool in there. I need lessons for ice skating though because I want to be better than I am.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We had a wild thunderstorm here that resulted in my poor father having to drive through water up to the bumper, and everything including their living room rug getting soaked while we were out. And now it's cool and nice out! Of course it's still hot in my apartment.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Had the best sleep today, the kind where you wake up feeling delicious and just stretching. With the added bonus of kitty toes and nose and belly fur around my feet.

Except somewhere in the middle of it I had a fit of sleep paralysis. Anyone ever had that? Where your brain wakes up and your body's still asleep and you hallucinate that something is on the bed with you? It's happened at least three times in the past decade. One time I even hallucinated that someone was in the house downstairs. But usually it's a ghost cat running laps around the bed, making it shake and vibrate. Freaks me right the fuck out.

Our wings are not tired

I will back David on that one. iCarly is much more tolerable.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Gosh, Julie bird, that sounds scary. the weirdest thing I ever had happen during sleep was the period of about 2 years where I used to sleep-eat, and wake up cvered in crackers or oreos.

I have watched precisely one Hannah Mntana, although somehow I have seen it several times. It is the one where her young male friend finds out that Hannah is Miley (after having a crush on Hannah.

I kinda liked the girl who played the female friend, but everyone else was god-awful.

Is iCarly the one with the girl from School of Rock. She was pretty good in that, so I can see that would be more engaging.

Because books.

iCarly is cute enough, but Disney's running a Hannah marathon today and Sara is glued to it. When you're six, apparently Hannah doesn't get old.

This is an interesting article about squatter "freegans" moving in to old aboandoned houses in Buffalo and fixing them up.

This is one of those things that seem like a lot of fun (I would love to just move in and work and fix something up), but I know in the end would be really, really annoying because I have the personality of the fish from The Cat in the Hat.
