Because books.

iCarly is cute enough, but Disney's running a Hannah marathon today and Sara is glued to it. When you're six, apparently Hannah doesn't get old.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

This is an interesting article about squatter "freegans" moving in to old aboandoned houses in Buffalo and fixing them up.

This is one of those things that seem like a lot of fun (I would love to just move in and work and fix something up), but I know in the end would be really, really annoying because I have the personality of the fish from The Cat in the Hat.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I've ironed in my sleep. And put the board and iron away when I finished. When I'm awake I just leave all that out until I need the space for something else.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is iCarly the one with the girl from School of Rock. She was pretty good in that, so I can see that would be more engaging.

Yes, and she is the reason I also find it much more watchable than most other kids shows when babysitting.

She's pretty cute, and Sara likes her new song.

I also don't mind Wizards of Waverley Place, just because the magical shenanigans are sort of fun.

Given my choice, though, it would be Fairly Oddparents, Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, or The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Penguins of Madagascar, iCarly, and Fairly Oddparents.

It's cooled down dramatically. I shut off all the ac, opened the windows and french doors and put the box fan in to draw air in. I'm actually ready to shut the french doors now. Though Loki will hate that. He loves the front porch smells and traffic.

It's been cool here all day. I think it's 48 now or something. Weird cold front. I was in a tank top yesterday.

I also really miss The Angry Beavers and Rocko's Modern Life. And Clarissa Explains It All!

God, I've watched a lot of kids' TV in eighteen years.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Dog has found a spot where she's comfortable relaxing just inside the doorway of the spare room so I put a blanket down and she's crashed out. Cat has been hanging in the living room for two hours, despite the bedroom door being open (so she could go hide under the bed). Success!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sleep paralysis

This has happened to me a few times, too. Usually the dreams are benign, but a couple times they've been really scary, like the one where there were dismembered corpses in the bed with me.

Leo escaped briefly. Now he's wandering around crying pitifully to go outside again. I'm thankful he doesn't fight me when I pick him up to bring him back in.
