Thankfully, DH agreed to take him to the playground while I hang out here doing laundry. You know what my favorite thing about laundry is? No whining!

Whining laundry would be something worth seeing. "Why do you have to use that powder? It itches on my stitches." "You've mixed me in with the shirts again. I hate being mixed in with the shirts, they're such drama queens. Can't I go in with the towels for once?" "The top loader again? How come I never get to sit next to the window?"

Heh, I'm hard to scare off!!

Currently Watching: Vampire Diaries. Haven't finished the first season, but someone online recommended it and since DVDs are like six cents in China, I picked it up last weekend and should I be embarrassed at how much I am enjoying it? I am worried.

My little brothers and I have developed this smug little superiority complex in our self-proclaimed superior taste in television shows, and I'm a little concerned that they may vote me out of our family if they find out I am watching this!

ALSO: I might do laundry more often if it talked to me. Someone work on this.

My horrible moment thus far was saying "get dressed". We've been in a tailspin from that since 9:15.

If they do donate the State of Michigan to your troop, make sure you're indemnified from having to prop up the auto companies. That one should stay with the government.

I love Vampire Diaries, too. It is a very satisfying watch. Things happen!

My smoke detector went off in the middle of the night and scared the crap out of me. What happened, though, is it got so cold that my heat went on, and the heat output is right next to the smoke detector. Every time I turn my heat on for the first time in a while, the detector goes off because the heat blowing on it is a rapid temperature change. But then I could not go to sleep for a while, and now I just got up at 10:30.

I also accidentally left a bag of books on my front porch, and it POURED last night, so I am not looking forward to going downstairs and figuring out that mess. I am hoping we get some son at some point and I can lay them on the lawn.

I have sympathy for all the "horrible" mothers today.

I misread this as you wanting the US reps and senators to donate the State of Michigan to your Girl Scout Troop. I was very confused for a moment as to what sort of project you are working on that would make it a good idea for lots of little girls to be in charge of the whole state!

I live in the State of New York, and I am thinking a girl scout troup might do a better job of running the state than the politicians. But maybe it is just me.
