I've been writing state and US reps and senators about donating a State of Michigan and a US Flag to my GIrl Scout troop. I hope it goes through. It would be awesome to get them.

If they do donate the State of Michigan to your troop, make sure you're indemnified from having to prop up the auto companies. That one should stay with the government.

My smoke detector went off in the middle of the night and scared the crap out of me. What happened, though, is it got so cold that my heat went on, and the heat output is right next to the smoke detector. Every time I turn my heat on for the first time in a while, the detector goes off because the heat blowing on it is a rapid temperature change. But then I could not go to sleep for a while, and now I just got up at 10:30.

I also accidentally left a bag of books on my front porch, and it POURED last night, so I am not looking forward to going downstairs and figuring out that mess. I am hoping we get some son at some point and I can lay them on the lawn.

I have sympathy for all the "horrible" mothers today.

I misread this as you wanting the US reps and senators to donate the State of Michigan to your Girl Scout Troop. I was very confused for a moment as to what sort of project you are working on that would make it a good idea for lots of little girls to be in charge of the whole state!

It never rains but it pours...my washing machine has a leak and is causing water to run down the inside of the walls which is then seeping into my 2 downstairs neighbors apartments. This machine has a 10 year warranty, but FUCK, I cannot afford to pay for water damage to 2 other apartments!!

Kat, could it be worth it to get some professional coaching on trach changes? Like private lessons, or meeting up with other parental units who've gotten used to trach changes and could show you tips?
