Hi, zuisa!! Welcome!!
If you were Genghis Khan, you'd fit right in with the world domination types we already have on board (Clovis, Miracleman, and other nefarious types).

Welcome zuisa! It would be kind of cool if you were Gengis Khan, but I think if you were, any flamewars could end very VERY badly. So it's better that you aren't.
I personally am not Genghis Khan, but my roommate is indeed Mongolian. So, that's close, yeah?? And I do think Harbin is lovely and fascinating, but most of the other foreigners here with me don't agree.
You're in Harbin? I would love to check it out round ice sculpture time. (I'm guessing, not now.)
Welcome zuisa!
It would be time to make the many different frostings for my many cupcakes, but I forgot to tell my sister when she got up to take the butter out of the fridge. So gotta wait for that to get more room temp.
Welcome, Genghis Khan! I mean, zuisa.
Welcome zuisa.
I am out! Hahaaha and now a few hours alone.
I'll will try my best to hold my own in flamewars despite not being hell-bent on world domination.
Oh, who am I kidding. Flamewars start, I run and hide.
The Ice Sculptures ARE awesome, but the night I was there it was like -40. I wanted to die. It was 91 here today though.... Harbin's weather certainly runs the gamut.

Well, there is that. Still, given that kind of weather, I'd like there to be ice sculptures.
So what brought you to Harbin?

I got a scholarship to study Chinese!! So I more or less just got sent here. But I'm at Heilongjiang University, and... yeah. Just hanging out and learning Chinese.
It's about three million degrees in NYC today. I may melt.
Good thing I made ice cream this morning! (More of a sherbet actually - I took what was left of my strawberry-rhubarb shortcake filling, added what was left of the cream, blended until smooth and dumped it in the ice cream maker. Improvisation = noms.)
