I haven't been following the rhetoric that much, but at a basic level I'm sort of with Palin on this one. It sounds kind of creepy to have a guy writing a book about you renting out the house next door.

Why? I mean, if I'm writing a book about, say, Pelosi, I'm probably going to rent places in D.C. and S.F. to get access. Were those places smaller, it would be likely I'd at least maybe be in the same neighborhood, and if someone near her offered me a place for cheap (especially in SF) I'd totally live next door.
