Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think of Castle as particularly geeky at all, not like Hardison or Garcia or Chuck. He's not IT. Same with Crichton, but differently--he's technical enough to be a pilot, but more sciencey.

eta: I should restate--I meant tech god(dess), when I was thinking it...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Lisa, I'm now assuming your friend is awesome (which would not surprise me at all). It's Criminal Minds!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Hardison's my choice for coolest tv geek.

I work in NGO world (no relation to NGA world, except that I have dual citizenship). People wear jeans, suits, mumus, hippie skirts and t-shirts, you name it. And I haven't seen so many birkis since the last time I went to a UU service.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Tech geek, I'd go with either Abby or McGee on NCIS.

Oh, Garcia would so paint the room with Abby. And McGee wouldn't even know what to do with her.

Of all of the geeks I can think of right now, Garcia's the only one I can see giving Alec a run for his money, and I still think he wins.

Who is Garcia again? Or Alec?

(I don't watch their shows, apparently.)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh msbelle. Strength to you.

Hardison, for sure.

I have some auditory processing issues that are somehow connected to my ADD, and I'm far better off if I have something more than just sound to go on, whether it's facial expressions, written text, or some kind of visuals. So phones and audiobooks suck big rocks, and putting on your glasses to talk to someone makes total sense to me.

OMG, thanks so much for this. When I ask someone to move the flowers or drop their hand, or turn to face me "So I can see what you're saying," I usually get, "Do you read lips?" The answer is "sorta." Because without a soundtrack I actually can't read lips. I've always thought my problem was just a personal failing of some sort, and have never brought it up with the docs. Lately I'd begun to think that maybe it's similar to--or another facet of--the input-screening problem that is how my ADD manifests. But your comment just clicked that idea into clarity, so thank you, really. Huh.

Punishingly Intricate

YES! She is. And she really does kind of look like Garcia. They sport very similar styles anyway.
