Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm definitely better at understanding speech if I can see the person talking -- I'm really horrible at understanding things over the phone, or museum exhibits that have all the information on an audio track -- but that doesn't seem to carry over to other types of sounds.

I'm the same way -- I have some auditory processing issues that are somehow connected to my ADD, and I'm far better off if I have something more than just sound to go on, whether it's facial expressions, written text, or some kind of visuals. So phones and audiobooks suck big rocks, and putting on your glasses to talk to someone makes total sense to me.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Tom, both of those involve me traveling an hour, being outside (see weather forecast), and probably spending money - 3 strikes.

I think the moviepass will win out. I only have one more that can be used on the weekend, so seems smart to use it on myself. Maybe I'll go to the library, watch one movie and then go to the theater and watch another. I could just watch the movie and knit at the library.

information libertarian

Tino update: dealt with Original Actual Tino today. Tino still Tino. In-person conversation:
Coworker S: What is our table number [at the orientation fair]? We didn't get an email about it.
Tino: It's XX. Did someone try to get hold of me?
Coworker S: I think [flea] emailed you.
Tino: Oh, this week has been so hectic, I'm not reading email.
Coworker S: Huh, that could be a problem.

Seriously, the week things get rolling for your big summer project it's hectic, so you just stop reading email? When you never answer your phone and your voice mail is habitually full? Maybe if you sent out the information people needed in the first place you wouldn't be constantly barraged by calls, eh?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm wearing a sundress with criss-crossed straps in back, which I just realized almost perfectly frame one of my tattoos.

man, when things get busy, that's the PERFECT time to stop reading email. I am going to suggest that to my boss.

denim skirts

I am the opposite of ita in that I only have long ones. I am wearing the long flared one today, I also have a long straight one with a front slit. I almost never wear skirts above my knees anymore. At some point my knees became my mother's and I don't like to see them.

Christ, this reminds me of a developer who told me he didn't read his email because there was too much of it. You know, there's a reason you might be getting too much email.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm wearing a sundress with criss-crossed straps in back, which I just realized almost perfectly frame one of my tattoos.

People here show their tattoos at work! First time I've ever worked somewhere that was done. Still weirds me out, though.

I am so glad Tino is still Tino. It would break my heart a little if he weren't. He's so special.

It's great! My boss threw a nice public fit about our place in line getting work done for us, and it totally worked. We got bumped right up. Whoohoo! I need to embrace that sort of thing more. I'm too nice. Yeah, msbelle, nice.

Punishingly Intricate

My one denim skirt is just above my knees. It's kind of perfect and I haven't been able to find any others that work so well on me. So I have the one. Thank god it still fits.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I've been wanting a not-too-tight denim pencil skirt for a while now, but haven't found one to buy yet.

Hey, anyone had experience with hyperthyroidism? I'm on thyroid meds (Cytomel, 38.5 mcg once daily) and on a hunch I looked up the symptoms. They include mood swings, anxiety, irritability (HELLO), palpitations, and dizziness, all of which I've been having (more than normal) in the last few days if not longer. Just called doc's office to see about scheduling a TSH test, which I was due anyway, waiting to hear back.
