Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Odd headline: Fla. pastor wins car for not burning Quran

Hey, I didn't burn the Quran. Where's my car?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My socks don't match my shirt. Please don't tell anyone.

I have realised I need a black leather blazer, fitted. Needs to happen, stat. There is this great leather store halfway between Detroit and Toronto that I really miss. Got some great stuff there. I bet they have my blazer.

I've gotten two double takes so far this morning. I'm not sure why. I've worn most of this outfit before, and no one seemed to notice. Of course, I wasn't wearing makeup...hmm...

Other chick in the department is wearing a top with a cutout that shows her navel and belly. I am clutching my pearls. Why are people looking at me???

Art Crawl!!!

ita - I couldn't find matching socks this morning. I'm wearing two black socks from two different pairs.

Mornings are rough.

5 times we almost nuked ourselves by accident

I never heard of this one:

The SL-1 reactor was an experimental reactor run by the U.S. Army near Idaho Falls, Iowa. On the night of January 3, 1961, heat alarms went off. Nearby emergency personnel made their way to the scene. They could not reach the control room for more than an hour and a half because of high radiation levels. When they did, they found two victims, one clinging to life (he died not long after). Even after being removed from the reactor building, the corpses themselves were so radioactive they had to be buried in lead and concrete tombs.

The worst was still to come. Several days later, rescue crews found the third operator. He had been standing atop the reactor when the incident occurred, and the force of the explosion had blasted a control rod up and through his chest, pinning him to the ceiling.

Yikes!
