not tired is generally good! you've been in my thoughts all day (thursdays right?). And I thought of you because we were at the pediatric procedure unit at UCLA. I wish I had fun reading material to send to you (I'm reading Scott Pilgrim in one big rush and also Invisible Man neither of which are probably your thing).

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Glad you're hanging in there, Perkins.

And yeesh, Kat. I have no offering of help there. Once again, wish I were nearer. With my flexible schedule, I could help. But I'm not! And I'm going to be further away, actually; I'm headed to Ohio in the morning.

Solo, I'm not actually thrilled about the trip, but the SO felt it was important. And I should enjoy it. It's the annual missions fair at my adolescent church, which we have missed the past several years. My sister & fam will be there, representing their mission. And my crazy local commuter flight means that I will have a spare day, so I'm going to drive up north to where I grew up, and visit my childhood friend there, who is also a breast cancer survivor!

If I had realized it, I would have totally made the trip worth my while, because the Columbus Blue Jackets play the Chicago Blackhawks in the Jackets' home opener the night I arrive. Only, it starts at 7:30 and I don't get there until 10:00. You know I'm asking the airline if there's an earlier flight they can put me on since I'll be sitting in the airport for hours and hours. (I'll wave in your general direction, erika) It's annoying because my commuter flight gets there at 9:30, and there's an earlier version of my flight that leaves at 9:10. Twenty minutes and I could have had hockey!

But I don't guess they'll want to switch me to any other early flight, you know, for free. Which there aren't, really, just other connecting ones. I'm lucky because this is a direct flight from Phoenix to Columbus.

Okay, last push of my crazy workday. I did really good so far, although I had about a four hour derailment, it was an important derailment, and also one with a deadline. And my graphic designer & I got a lot of stuff worked out on facebook, so yay, facebook.

So, now just get this deposit ready and call it a night. C'mon, I can do this!

I DID DO IT! WHOO!

Okay, so that was a fifteen hour workday, which you all need to remind me, next time I'm all, but I don't work complete hours, I'm such a slacker.

Working for yourself has a ton of perks, but it also has days like this. And I didn't get everything done on my list, but as the SO points out to me, I did get everything done that HAD to be done, and furthermore, did something important that wasn't on my list. So there's that.

AND I got my mobile internet set up with the secondary device as prepay, so even if I run into airport/hotel wifi problems, I will still have all of yooooouuuus!

Okay, off to bed with me.
