Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Yay, Perkins!!!!!! So glad!!

And, thanks for the break a leg wishes yesterday. I auditioned and sang and didn't even throw up! And, I was on key the whole time! And, after much deliberation, I got the part I wanted.

Today, however, I am exhausted as we didn't finish casting until almost 11. (Yes, I was part of casting since I'm directing, but when they were casting the part(s) I wanted, I left the room and the others cast those parts.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm looking at those Vancouver temperatures, and I dunno. My wool coat is heavy duty. Russian military. No joke shit. But I don't know if I have enough layers still to put under the leather coat in case of chill.

Wait, who am I again? I've been wearing sweaters all summer. I will work something out. Thing is, the leather jacket is burgundy, so it will be a colour matching issue. The wool coat is army green, so just about anything I have goes with that, if I choose that direction.

I'm wearing a watch today. I wonder if that will drive me crazy. Watch with fire animation. Shoes with dragons. Leather skirt. ita's version of full face day makeup. Yup, I'm dressed for work bear.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

It drives me crazy when I don't wear a watch. There's no reason to wear a watch any more, what will cell phones and all, but I can't stop.

You may just have to, as if in Rome (and doing as the Romans do), get some fleece--the official clothing of the greater Metro Vancouver area.

I have to wear my watch. I freak if I forget it.

brillig

With a watch, time is just a turn of the wrist and a glance away. With a phone, you've got to find the phone, then look at it. And since I have an analog watch, I can check the configuration of the hands to let me know what time segment I'm in without having to translate the numbers into time segment.

Why, yes, I am still very much an analog girl.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Given how small some of the cellphones are -- particularly the flip styles -- I'm surprised somebody hasn't come up with more "covers" that could turn them into wristwatches.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I need a sleek leather coat. I realize I live in Arizona, but still. So today I'm trying to figure out what coat I need to carry on the plane for Ohio this weekend. I am thinking only my light shirt-coat, as I'll have sweaters and turtlenecks I can layer if necessary. It'll be in the 70's here when I leave, 90's when I get to Phoenix. But high 60's in Zanesville and 50's in Warren (lake effect, dontchaknow). But I really hate lugging a big winter coat on the plane, plus I'm trying to go carryon only, backpack and knitting bag.
