Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

Because books.

Where is this year going??

Right? I've got the kids' costumes covered, but not mine.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have a concept, but not the actual costume.

I also have a massive case of the heebie-jeebies, due to listening to last weekend's repeat TAR on the way to work. The timing worked out perfectly so the last bits I heard were about roach and bedbug infestations. Itchy!!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

TAL, not TAR, unless there's a new challenge that I haven't heard about....

Because books.

I was going to say, wait, I saw that episode and I don't remember anything about bed bugs ...

I don't even have a concept for a costume. Except Jilli's blood splatter manicure.

Ha! You are correct. My TLAs got away from me.

I'm going as Diana Prince, mid-change.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

She kinda wants me to die and have my soul torn apart by hellhounds right now, for making her go out and pee in a downpour.

My dog is a prissy, rain-hating diva. Can't wait to see her tonight!

I'm going as Diana Prince, mid-change.

That's awesome.

I hope it will be! I'm afraid the costumes they sell at the stores now don't have the lasso, which I feel is a key aspect.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am going as Velma.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Yay, Perkins!!!!!! So glad!!

And, thanks for the break a leg wishes yesterday. I auditioned and sang and didn't even throw up! And, I was on key the whole time! And, after much deliberation, I got the part I wanted.

Today, however, I am exhausted as we didn't finish casting until almost 11. (Yes, I was part of casting since I'm directing, but when they were casting the part(s) I wanted, I left the room and the others cast those parts.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm looking at those Vancouver temperatures, and I dunno. My wool coat is heavy duty. Russian military. No joke shit. But I don't know if I have enough layers still to put under the leather coat in case of chill.

Wait, who am I again? I've been wearing sweaters all summer. I will work something out. Thing is, the leather jacket is burgundy, so it will be a colour matching issue. The wool coat is army green, so just about anything I have goes with that, if I choose that direction.

I'm wearing a watch today. I wonder if that will drive me crazy. Watch with fire animation. Shoes with dragons. Leather skirt. ita's version of full face day makeup. Yup, I'm dressed for work bear.
