Well, I should be used to it by now, but I always hope for the best. It's just funny that my brother, who I've never been close to, never fails to remember and call, and she always manages to forget.

When I was talking to bro and sis-in-law earlier today about our planned trip to Paris, they mentioned that she was in charge of buying their tickets (a wedding present). I mentioned they might want to constantly harangue her about it until the confirmation came through.

Le sigh.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Tonight's my last night in Denver. This conference has been kickass, but has mostly kicked my ass. They keep trying to make me do work, and stuff. Today we had the mother of all bus tours where we went to a wind farm on the Wyoming border, Colorado State University in Fort Collins, a solar farm, and the New Belgium brewery. I am a shell of my former self. But the people on my bus were great. I love them all, drank beer with them, we'll be BFFs forever. What were their names again?

More importantly, I got to see three excellent Buffistas yesterday: Stephanie for coffee, and Suzi and Nicole for dinner. SO MUCH FUN. I wish they hadn't caught me when the conference was slowly draining my life essence. NEXT TIME.

Here's a weak-tea meara of the 700 or so posts I just skimmed:

amych, much ~ma to you, especially of the Amy-Force variety. Hope it helps.

Congrats, Shir!

Yay Perkins!

Happy birthday to Matt, Cash, Megan and ita's dad!

Sorry about your shitty day, Dana.

And anything else I missed, because I caught, like, every 20th post. I'm comatose.

Traveling all day tomorrow, and then back to a smonster-less office Friday. Inconceivable.

Calli, I'm sure you're in bed, given what time it is back east, but thanks so much for taking care of Lulu while I've been away.

These words? English. And yet, they make no sense.

That's comedy gold right there.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to go to bluefly.com and window shop my dress for the MLK wedding. What sort of clothing you looking at for MLK in NY?

Also, what's Vancouver gonna do me at Halloween? Leather coat, or wool coat?

I looked up Virgin Am flights to Boston for Christmas. For some reason, they leap from roughly $500 on the 17th to $1100-1200 starting on the 18th. The other airlines are a bit more reasonable, so I have no idea why they are being so ridiculous about it.
