Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just had a piece of a pumpkin cake thingy, and it was FANTASTIC.

Also, had a panic about my bank account, and then I learned that I (? or the bank?) double-paid my big credit card this month, so that's where the money went. At least it's in a better place, but that was scary.

OMG, I am totally buying that for my brother. My mother used to call us Heckle and Ralph, which for some reason, we thought were their names. We now know that they are Statler and Waldorf, but I still think of them as Heckle and Ralph.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Was that the regular one or did you switch for a gourmet one?

It was a plebeian 59¢ doughnut. However, I think the core issue is that I don't actually like doughnuts.

No, don't ask.

However, I think the core issue is that I don't actually like doughnuts.

I know how you feel. Whenever they get bought at work (an occasional thing), I give one a go, and it's never worth it. But, you know, free food!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I don't actually like doughnuts

I do not understand these words.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

$.59 sounds awfully low for a donut price around here. Are you sure it wasn't an irregular donut?

I like Krispy Kreme, and only some of those. That has yet to translate to doughnuts at large. But I darted into Ralph's and thought I had to be able to get breakfast there instead of going to Starbuck's as well, but damn, their bakery is blah. Frankly, everyone's bakery is less interesting to me than stuff I bake myself, but I am...what is the word? Oh, yeah. Lazy.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I have canned pumpkin and frozen mango's. I will have to google to find some sort of pie or cake or pudding or pastry to make with those as primary ingredients.
