That's my girl, large and in-charge. Okay, teensy-weensy and in charge.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have off for Columbus Day. I'm pretty sure I have to go to Cambridge to celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I cannot imagine $400+ of makeup being a good deal, like, ever. But, you know, me.

I work in the financial sector, and I have to work tomorrow. No fair. At least in my first finance job, we got off when the banks got off. And then my next job was university, so I'm pretty sure we got it off too.

Not anymore.

Ooh, we got to the exploding car part of 24.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't think I've ever had Columbus Day off from anywhere. I always forget it's a holiday. No mail tomorrow, then?

Because books.

$400+ of makeup

That was the value -- it was only $48, I think.

But I would waste so much of that. I used to work for a Lancome/L'Oreal distributor. They'd let us spend $CDN100 and buy stuff at discount once a year, and I'd give so much of it away and still end up with stuff left over years later. Makeup, shampoo, perfume, I outfitted friends and family for forever.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that's the thing, I think. I don't think I'm serious enough to buy that big a collection, even in small sample sizes. But when I look up other kits and palettes, it's close to that price anyway. So I dunno.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah. Cost-wise it's a really good deal. I personally would not use much of it though.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I almost never bought big palette collections because I basically use too few colors.

I am wicked tired. Tomorrow, I have another round of observations. Luckily I proctored the SAT from my room so it's in decent shape. And I made posters of my standard sets and they are laminated, ready to be posted.

Yeah, I always love the look of the blockbuster, but would never use most of the stuff.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

In terms of cost, that giant palette collection from Sephora is a great deal. But there are way too many colors in it I wouldn't ever touch.

I don't need to spend $25 on black lipstick, right? Even if the packaging is gorgeous. [link]
