Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Tom and I went to Emeril's for lunch- they do a 3 course prix fixe for $19.50. Say what you will about his "personality" his flagship puts out some EXCELLENT food.

It started pouring like gangbusters as we were driving to the restaurant, and was blue skies and sunny. Ah, New Orleans. Walk in the shade and carry a big umbrella.

We wandered the river side of the Quarter afterward and went to Lush and the Vieux Carre Liquor Store and scored a bottle of Applejack, which we'd been scouring the city for. Jack Rose cocktails for all!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I felt very msbelle as I used up baby spinach and avocado in my salad.

I feel that way every time I finish off an item completely. Doesn't matter if it is from the fridge, pantry or bathroom.

Lunch finished off my salad. I have some carrots and a banana to go before I can head to the store.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I think that's going to stick for a while.

It made me laugh, but confused me because it was from a MI area code, and I couldn't figure out how Aims would know.

Ha! I saw a camel the other day and thought of Aimee.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My accomplishment today is detangling and combing 2/3 of one cat. And I watched a couple of episodes of tv from my Hulu queue.

I have to remember to go to the farmers' market tomorrow after work to see if someone has dried hibiscus, but I also want to get some strawberries, finally. I almost got some at TJ's today, but they weren't local.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am sort of pleasantly jealous every time Nora reports on her adventures around New Orleans.

I've been writing most of the day and need to write some more. Feh. Tired of words.

I'm going to take a break to make the Italian Wedding Soup variation.

Alberta used to make fantastic cocktail using hibiscus and strawberries. In fact, I took a virgin one to JZ in the hospital the evening after she gave birth to Matilda.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am realizing the downside to living in a semi-fancy neighborhood: there's no bodega close by with cheap spices and dried hibiscus! I need some agua de jamaica. And paid a million dollars for cumin the other day.
