I wore makeup every day until into my 20s, because my face didn't clear up until then. If these girls have the skin to pull it off, more power to them. But I'm not surprised that the majority of their peers don't feel comfortable without foundation, concealer, whatever.
(Oddly my skin these days is way better than a teen's. Don't know why.)
Are you the lady who superglued her eye shut?
Yeah, no. I just have a puffy eyeball situation, but I would have hoped it was better by now!
or shaving anything other than my head
See that's just weird. I mean I can go a while shaving nothing but my legs but my legs need to be shaved. Not for anyone else. They just feel weird against each other when I don't shave. Unless I can somehow get about a week out. Then it's not prickly any longer and I can ignore it for a good long while.
Horrible 8th and 9th innings.
Pancakes for dinner.
Nelly! He's my secret Ranger bf. Still 3 down.
Jesse, your eyeball is not puffy.
Yikes! A big, articulated bus full of passengers crashed on Lake Shore Drive today - it hit a tree.
CTA bus crash sends about 30 to hospitals
Roughly half of those victims, including the bus driver, were taken to hospitals in fair-to-good condition, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford. Four of the victims were taken to hospitals in serious-to-critical condition and about a dozen were taken in fair-to-serious condition, he said.
About 40 other people on the bus refused treatment on the scene.
Damn - what could cause a big bus like that to leave the highway?
I've always seen makeup as decorative rather than imperative; I usually wear at least colored lip balm to the store and such, but I enjoy makeup, and it takes me less than 5 minutes to put on eyeliner, shadow, mascara and lip stuff, so it's no big to me.
However, I would no more NOT wear makeup to a job interview than I would not wear tights or pants. Or to a more social event. It has nothing to do with intelligence, and everything to do with my feeling polished. I imagine most males feel the same about picking a favorite tie or shaving/trimming facial hair with care for an interview/date and such.
However, were I interviewing a candidate without makeup (a female one), I would think nothing of it, as long as her general appearance indicated care and cleanliness. A candidate of either gender, with messy, wrinkled clothes or unwashed hair, etc. yes. I would judge. I says I don't give a fuck, and I would not care to hire that attitude.
Jesse, you're eyeball is not puffy.
There's a puffy, discolored area. I'm sure it's just from the allergies, but it's kind of creepy. Better than this morning, I think!
ION, I went shoe shopping this afternoon to find something to wear to the wedding. I realized as I was trying on shoes and looking at them in the mirror, that I have really ugly feet!
I've got very transparent pale skin and my veins look like a road map on most of my body, but the veins on my feet and hands look like fat purple worms! ugh! Wish I had comfy boots to wear! but it will be unseasonable warm so I'll be wearing new semi-flats.
My fall allergies usually last until the first frost, which means they could be over with as soon as tonight!
