I get confused. I remember everything. I remember too much, and... some of it's made up, and... some of it can't be quantified, and... there's secrets.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Heh. I followed the link to the anti-Glee article which referenced the Golden Girls article.

Recently, I wrote about studies that revealed the dangerous influence that the 1980s tv show “The Golden Girls” had on American men now in their 30s, 40s and 50s (see “The Golden Girls: How One TV Show Turned A Generation Of American Boys Into Homosexuals”). The link between watching the Girls and increased risks of homosexual behavior was made abundantly meaningful. In a nutshell, the Golden Girls turned a generation away from procreation. It made our American boys into the most raunchy, campy, carnal people on the planet. If, as a society, we could have returned to the 80s with what we know now and stop that show, American culture might be drastically different today.

Ah, apparently the site is a satire site.

It is? It's so hard to tell sometimes.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Librarian Warlord

Stephanie, all sorts of safety ~ma for Joe and his unit, and heaps of coping ~ma for you and the kids.

I am working today, and my DH just called to tell me that the installer for the new floor in the basement has told him that what we picked out can't be installed. This is after the company sent someone out to make sure, but, he was, apparently, wronger than a wrong thing.

Now we need to go back out and choose something new. I hope the place is thinking of a way to make this up to us. Or, you know, make thi$ up to u$.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Realized this morning that my paper was missing a piece of description for every line that I had to analyze. If I'm lucky, I'll only get dinged 5-10 points off the final grade for it.

Oh, well.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Calvin and Hobbes enter the Twilight Zone

The always awesome Super Punch recently ended its Calvin and Hobbes art contest, which attracted plenty of hilarious and heartwarming artwork. And the winners offer Calvinish takes on Batman, Spider-Man, and The Twilight Zone.

Each month, Super Punch holds an art contest on a different theme. For September, the theme was Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes, and artists offered their take on the classic comic strip. Calvin grew up. He died. He dressed up as He-Man, flew an X-wing, and fell in love with a Swedish vampire.

But the grand prize went to the team of Timothy Lim and Mark Pellegrini for their blend of Calvin and Hobbes with superheroes and horror.

More here: [link] (scroll down a bit).

That Calvin and Hobbes / Han Solo and Chewbacca t-shirt was for this contest.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
