Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Wishing a smooth and quick recovery for her, Burrell.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Good news, Burrell

My grumpy mood has cheered signifigantly, having an interview. Also possible with breakfast for dinner (French toast and sausage.)

I am even doing the hated laundry with equanimity.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

A very interesting New Yorker article on procrastination:

I'm reading this now, and finding it very interesting. Possibly even helpful. At least, it's good to know that so many geniuses have the same problem as me!

RE: Mechanically Sep. Chicken

Snopes and a few other places actually have some things to say about the overall validity of the use. There's a mixture of true and false about how it is used. Here's the info from snopes.

Hope the news continues to be good, Burrell.

After months of running fans all the time, my house is eerily silent with them off.

Today was weird, My head was in a fog all day, and I got so sleepy in the afternoon, there are parts I can't account for. Given I woke up, wide awake at 6, wonder if I just didn't sleep well at all last night.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Excellent good news, Burrell.

Tonight's cooking conundrum: what to do with left over cake ends.

JZ had to trim Matilda's birthday cake we wound up with odd bits of unfrosted chocolate cake.

You may now fear me because I have committed the English Crime of Dessert: Trifle!

Layer of chocolate cake; layer of whipped cream; layer of fresh rasperries smashed into fresh strawberry sauce; layer of chocolate cake, layer of whipped cream; layer of slice strawberries. Top with remaining strawberry sauce.

Now I have to make dinner. Also, I recently bought a Snoopy On His Doghouse Ice Shaver, and this has inspired me to make fresh syrup for snow cones. Sadly, the interpipes do not tell us how to make super yummy fresh Italian fruit flavors (mmmm, cantaloupe) but syrup isn't exactly rocket science and I have made my own blackberry syrup.

Anybody got any good fresh snow cone syrup recipes? I'm thinking strawberry and mint something.
