Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

The new Bay Bridge will look like this.

When? The plans started right after Loma Prieta which was in 1989. Crazy.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I suppose the Zmayhems have already bought Matilda a birthday present, but just in case....

Now tagless for your comfort.

A very interesting New Yorker article on procrastination: [link]

I promise to read that later.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Love the new curtains, msbelle. Might need to stop by BB&B myself.

MiL is in surgery right now. I hope to hear from DH in a few hours. Fingers crossed please. Poor DH, he admitted to me this morning that he keeps thinking about my dad's final surgery. Yeesh. I hate to think of him carrying that around with him all day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck to your MiL, Burrell!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Procrastination, in this reading, is the result of a bargaining process gone wrong.

I never was any good at haggling.

The key to haggling is being willing to walk away from the interaction. Rather difficult when it's all taking place in your head.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My dad has said the same about seeing a hot dog factory. I told him NEVER to tell me.

One of my Dad's best friends, who is in his mid-60s now, worked at a Kraft marshmallow factory when he was 19.

To this day he will not eat anything Kraft makes, or anything with marshmallows in it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

A very interesting New Yorker article on procrastination:

That psychological theory (about the competing selves) is very similar to the future psych proposed by Greg Bear in City of Angels. (loved that novel)
