My dad has said the same about seeing a hot dog factory. I told him NEVER to tell me.
One of my Dad's best friends, who is in his mid-60s now, worked at a Kraft marshmallow factory when he was 19.
To this day he will not eat anything Kraft makes, or anything with marshmallows in it.
A very interesting New Yorker article on procrastination:
That psychological theory (about the competing selves) is very similar to the future psych proposed by Greg Bear in
City of Angels.
(loved that novel)
News o' the day: Robots Now Guarding Nevada Nuke Site
Citizens of Nevada, you can now relax. The Nevada National Security Site, home to tens of millions of cubic feet of low-level radioactive waste — and location of over a thousand Cold War nuclear weapons tests — is now being guarded by robots. The first of a planned trio of Mobile Detection Assessment Response Systems (MDARS) is currently patrolling some of the more remote sections of the 1,360 square mile facility.
That's where my BIL works!!! (He occasionally goes down to Los Alamos for business trips.)

RatCar is a Car Operated by a Rat's Brain

It's the
rampant bacteria and subsequent amonia
that gross me all to hell. The
squish and grindage of everything but the cock-a-doodle-doo
has me "eh". If you're going to eat critters you might as well eat all of them.
That's where my BIL works!!!
Is he a robot? No? Are you sure?
Some are weird and some are cool. Love the library and the Longaberger Basket. The air force building is neat too.
