Now hold on, I'm gonna press the right pedal harder. I expect us to accelerate.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

honestly, never heard of it

I was mostly kidding, but of the three its the only I know is on DVD (though with different narration than I got as a kid - Ringo Starr vs. Dustin Hoffman).

Compassionately intolerant

Me and my arrow, straighter than narrow, wherever we go everyone knows it's me and my arrow...

Makes me so happy.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

-t, I am so, so very sorry. Know that you are and will continue to be in our thoughts.

I've been trying to catch up for days and now I have nothing more to say.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

B-b-b-but Oblio! And his dog Arrow!

Frankenbuddha is now my favorite. My dad and I still sing the P.O.V. Waltz together all the time.

Our wings are not tired.

being yourself...

Never saw that before. Awesome!

I have never seen FtbYaM or Really Rosie

Nope. There are many many things I missed. It could be I didn't watch TV in the 70s and 80s, probably most of the 90s too. I was busy. I also missed Happy Days, Three's Company, Charlie's Angels and a whole bunch of other shows DH watched. I can spend my entire retirement watching old series and never watch something I have seen before.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I missed wide chunks of the 70s and 80s, which considering how much of it was stuff that I'm still not at all interested in, is fine with me.

I have never seen an episode of Charlie's Angels, Happy Days, Dallas, The Electric Company and more. It wasn't until a few years ago that I even saw an episode of Friends, and that was because I was visiting a friend who really wanted company....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Speaking of old tv, Julia Child is currently teaching me how to make a quiche.

I think I have to head back outside this morning, and then deal with housework later. I'm 90% sure housework will be "later" regardless, so it's really a question of what I do in the meantime, and outside is definitely the better call.

Also, I'm glad to see that TNT is running that Law & Order Hollywood three-parter. I feel like they always showed that on holidays, but recently they've been having marathons of other shows.

Because books.

I think we're going to the beach today. It's supposed to hit the high 80s and it's gorgeously sunny. Not sure I want to test the water this early in the season, though.

Holy crap -- I just got a weather alert about smoke from fires in Quebec. Yikes.
