Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Speaking of old tv, Julia Child is currently teaching me how to make a quiche.

I think I have to head back outside this morning, and then deal with housework later. I'm 90% sure housework will be "later" regardless, so it's really a question of what I do in the meantime, and outside is definitely the better call.

Also, I'm glad to see that TNT is running that Law & Order Hollywood three-parter. I feel like they always showed that on holidays, but recently they've been having marathons of other shows.

Because books.

I think we're going to the beach today. It's supposed to hit the high 80s and it's gorgeously sunny. Not sure I want to test the water this early in the season, though.

Holy crap -- I just got a weather alert about smoke from fires in Quebec. Yikes.

So it is barely 10 am, and I've driven 55 miles, swam 1.75 miles (go me! I've managed that 4 days in a row,) and showered and unpacked. After going to bed after a night of dancing at 1 am.

What is wrong with me!?

Wedding was fabulous. Bride and groom are absolutely lovely people, and unsurprisingly, thus are their friends and family. Both cried exchanging vows, as did Lisa, whose been like a fairy godmother to them. Miss P and her brother A were flowergirl and ringbearer, respectively.

Gorgeous location, out in western MD, at an old inn, at sunset. I mean, really.

I had a rip-roaring great time. My outfit was a huge hit. Got double takes from a lot of people I work with, and the thing is, I dress nice at work. Minute Tiff saw me, she said I looked just like a 40s pinup girl, and that was the aim. Then one of the photographers referred to me as the 40s model, so let's just say I was quite happy with the attention. Of which I got plenty. It was fun.

Foreign soil clause still in effect. Thank god, because I was full on flirt mode, and since I work with a lot of these people (though some not closely) that would've just been weird. As it was, I think I acquired a new friend. Who was heavy in the flirt rotation. Um. cue startrek creepy music.

Danced my ass off, had a great couple of partners for that. At one point, was dancing with the groom to some latin number and got a good natured "Jesus, Sara, I didn't know you had that in you" which considering the bride dances ballet and ballroom, will take as a compliment. Haven't danced in a long time. At to be fair, I see most of them at work or non-dancy social events. And hell, it was a wedding.

I think my toes squeaked in relief when I took my shoes off to drive back to the hotel. They're still not quite right.

But if someone can explain how I woke up at 6:15 on the dot without an alarm in a blackout dark hotel room, I'd appreciate it.

I can't wait to see the pictures. I took some, but mostly of the ceremony.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

YAY FUN!

I am so thrilled with myself that I figured out how to convert a couple of ahemed movies for mac (they are not avail on iTunes) to iTunes compatible and can now load them up, saving me some bucks. Hopefully I can do this will some movies for myself soon as well as some tv shows for him before the trip to TX.

We are off very soon to get a zipcar and head to Westchester to help my very pregnant with twins friend get her house a bit more ready. Also pick up my bike which she has been storing for me since last summer.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Timelies, all! So far this morning I've biked to the local hippie grocery for breakfast, ripped out a dead clematis and replaced it with a climbing hibiscus, walked the cat, and started a load of laundry.

I think that'll be it for that whole effort thing today.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So far, I have put on a bra and started the coffee.

Not in that order.
