ok, I have googled. The Point (honestly, never heard of it) was 1971, Free to Be was 1974, and Really Rosie 1975. It's not surprising to me that I don't really know this stuff, it's not like my parents at all, so I bet my brother got it at school or friends' houses.
To be fair, small tracks (and, really, no dirt tracks) do nothing for me and I want there to be a place I can get food and cool water. But the rest of it? I love.
My dad and his family always get tickets for the entire weekend of racing at the Joliet Speedway when NASCAR comes to town.
I went with Dad and a bunch of his friends to a small track in southern Wisconsin when I was in high school. Too loud for my taste.

I don't either.
We had BBQ. It was really nice and sunny while we grilled, and all was delicious. We had some really, really yummy grilled veggies, and sirloin thingies that were 8 oz. with bacon wrapped, and they were really good. Lots of yum.
The guys went to Christopher Elbow's brand new artisanal ice cream store in KC, brought back pints. Um. Creme fraiche ice cream, Vietnamese cinnamon and dark Venezulan chocolate. OMG so good.
The pomtinis were too sweet, but it was really nice later; a little overcast, but about 75 with a breeze.
honestly, never heard of it
I was mostly kidding, but of the three its the only I know is on DVD (though with different narration than I got as a kid - Ringo Starr vs. Dustin Hoffman).

Makes me so happy.
-t, I am so, so very sorry. Know that you are and will continue to be in our thoughts.
I've been trying to catch up for days and now I have nothing more to say.

Frankenbuddha is now my favorite. My dad and I still sing the P.O.V. Waltz together all the time.
