I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I haven't seen Dawnn Lewis since "The Tenth Kingdom". Wait. I think I saw her on a TV show about 5 years ago. But that's it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

ita, that's appalling! I mean, excellent how it turned out, but scary as hell that it happened at all, and frustratingly bad that no one was going to tell you. I'm very glad he's okay.

sara, I remember when you accepted temporary custody of Mr. Kitty and were concerned that his people were going to demand him back on their return. He sure lucked out with you. I hope he enjoys every day he has left.

Also, those bannisters look awesome!

Sorry for the broken window, David. And yes, everyone needs to know how to stop before "just one more" leads to tears.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oooh, I've been there, and they weren't my kids. Sorry.

Thanks, it's okay. Emmett didn't fall out the window and the glass didn't hit the women walking her dog.

I just spent 20 mins sweeping the sidewalk so no puppies get glass in their feet. Do you think they'll appreciate my efforts by pooping at the curb?

Emmett's feeling very contrite though it was really more my fault than his since I didn't rein things in when I knew it was spinning out of control. He's really just not used to having an adult body, but that's where he is now.

Not exactly a teachable moment but sort of a future leverage deal: "Remember the broken window? Let's chill out now."

Glad everyone's okay. Once or twice when I was growing up, the broken window was because a brother put his fist through it while fighting with another brother.

Ohman. I wish my cousin's place had a bathtub. RSI pain is bad and showers aren't cutting it. Tried to do a drop-in at Berkeley Sauna yesterday but they were all booked up. Oh well...Just two more days 'til Harbin.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I saw a nicely dressed man today get out of a cab with his girlfriend (and his drycleaning) then turn around and put both fists through the window on the front passenger side. The fuck?

I'm kind of impressed. Car windows don't break so readily. Not by fist anyway.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Good night, ita! I`m glad he`s all right, but sheesh!

And I`m glad Emmett`s all right too.

sarameg, I totally know. My facebook page is half insipid pseudo-spiritual babble and half cussing and chatspeak...the kids the first group is giving me money to hang out with. Heh.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

He said he would have told me when I came home at Christmas.

Gee, that's swell of him. Psssssht. Families.

Anyway, YIKES!!!! Dad of ita, no more wandering into a robbery! (Now I suddenly morphed him into a Mr. Magoo-like character wandering into a robbery and then back out, perhaps with some of the ill-gotten loot somehow.) That's freaking scary!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac refused to go to bed when I said it was bedtime. I told him, to NOT wake me up and turn off lights. That was about 9pm. He woke me up about an hour ago and I have not been able to get back to sleep. Of course he left all the lights on AND left out a bunch of dirty dishes because he ate a bunch. NOT ON. I've locked down the tv and put away the ds, we may not make it to church, but he will get woken up at 6:30 dammit.

I guess I'll go get into his bed and see if I can sleep since he is in mine.
