I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Gah, ita. Gah for the robbery and gah for the family keeping it from you. I'm glad your dad came out of it okay (except the possessions and probably a bit of stress).

Congrats on getting that much closer to done, sara.

I spent most of today at Annie's Annuals fall sale. [link] Did *not* win the raffle so I spent two gift certificates on the most plants I've ever bought there. I'm normally an edibles gardeners so it was weird for me to buy mostly flowers. I hope to show my mom that my gardens are *not* ugly. Haul today included a load of Scabiosas, Eschscholzias, Fragaria vesca, peas, and others.

I'm sunburned (in the Bay Area, go figure) and tired from hours of standing and walking on bum knees. Ran 2 more errands then drove back to my cousin's in The Richmond. Too tired to walk around the Haight or anything. Tomorrow is HSB.

AhahahaHAH! Got a message from my girl's boyfriend, apologizing for being something (?) on fb. Pretty much sure he's aghast at an old person seeing him teasing his girl. Anyway, I just see it as my reach on these youths extending. And getting them to censor themselves a bit online. Heheh.

Still cracks me up something awful!

I'm evil. I'm schooling my T's friend in online behavior. Specifically, her boy. Heheheh.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Aw, it was a Beatles ,Dear Prudence reference. Love that boy!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And now we've got a broken bedroom window.

For future reference: teenager, plus toddler plus Dad who concedes to requests for "Just one more!" game of chase equals broken window.

Oh, it's so important to stop before that "just one more." You can feel the chaos energy reaching its maximum expression before it happens.

Oooh, I've been there, and they weren't my kids. Sorry.

Can I just reiterate how HILARIOUS it is to be texting (via fb) with my girl's boy who I've never met and being all mommy/big sister? Cracks me up. Like really LOL.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My god, Tivo found me 1987 A Different World. While Marisa Tomei and Lisa Bonet were still on it, before Dwayne Wayne became cool. Whither Dawnn Lewis?

I haven't seen Dawnn Lewis since "The Tenth Kingdom". Wait. I think I saw her on a TV show about 5 years ago. But that's it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

ita, that's appalling! I mean, excellent how it turned out, but scary as hell that it happened at all, and frustratingly bad that no one was going to tell you. I'm very glad he's okay.

sara, I remember when you accepted temporary custody of Mr. Kitty and were concerned that his people were going to demand him back on their return. He sure lucked out with you. I hope he enjoys every day he has left.

Also, those bannisters look awesome!

Sorry for the broken window, David. And yes, everyone needs to know how to stop before "just one more" leads to tears.

Thanks, it's okay. Emmett didn't fall out the window and the glass didn't hit the women walking her dog.

I just spent 20 mins sweeping the sidewalk so no puppies get glass in their feet. Do you think they'll appreciate my efforts by pooping at the curb?
