"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I def had paint tape issues when we were doing the house. The only place where it`s super noticeable is the bedroom, where the walls are grey and the ceiling white. All the other rooms with the exception of a couple accent walls, the ceiling and walls are the same color, because we knew we were doing it and knew our limitations.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have a newfound HATE of masking tape in general

Oh, yeah.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I have dinner in the oven, sort of.

After eating horribly for the past month or so, I'm determined to get back into healthy habits so I'm cooking up a ton of veggies from the fridge.

I roasted a spaghetti squash, the contents of which are now in a bowl on the counter. In the oven is cauliflower, red and yellow peppers, zucchini, onion and corn tossed in a sesame marinade. Still waiting to be tackled are a bunch of mushrooms, green beans some tofu and a couple of kohlrabi. Also a big bag of spinach.

The cauliflower mixture will probably be a mean on its own, as well as the basis for some others. I think the mushrooms, green beens and tofu will be a stir-fry, possibly supplemented by the spinach. Have not yet figured a plan for the squash or kohlrabi.

The ends, innards and skins of all of the above are in a pot making broth, along with the dried out remains of most of my garden herbs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Fucking armed robbery.

Seriously.

My father walked in on armed robbery Thursday, and I find out about it at the tail end of a two hour conversation about porn with my sister. After I tell her goodbye.

Sheeit.

Everything's okay--they didn't take anything from him except his phone. He walked into a jewelry store as it was being robbed, and they took it and put him down on the floor and wrapped up the theft and left. He ended up comforting one of the women there.

AND NO ONE WAS GOING TO TELL ME.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Dinner tonight: Skinless boneless turkey breast slow cooked with Savoy Cabbage, Onion, Green pepper, mushroom. Broth: Soy Milk, Soy Sauce, wine, lemon juice. Spice: brown sugar, five spice, garlic, ginger, black pepper, potassium chloried salt substitute. Whole wheat spaghetti added in last hour.

In past have made this with other greens. Spinach, Kale, BokChoy, Romaine . Pretty much any strong green works, though I'm not sure I'd try it with mustard greens. Still, if it works with Kale.

Jesus. Sounds like your family shares something with mine. They've stopped telling me about dad getting hit on his bike (and I never freaked out at all the others,) I find out about pregnancies and marriages awfully late or only with prodding... I'm glad he's only out a phone.

ita, that would infuriate me. Wow. Of course my dad didn't tell me he'd been diagnosed with prostrate cancer until AFTER THE SURGERY, so yeah. I'm right there with you.
