I don't have phone anxiety, so much as I have voice mail anxiety. Why do I stare at the little red light for so long? There are no real people on the other end of it, and it doesn't presage anything more foreboding than my email likely does.

Just heard back from the surgical liaison--surgery has been cleared by the insurance! Now I've got my ultrasound and endoscopy scheduled for 10/21, and only after that happens can we schedule the actual surgery. However, it looks like it won't be able to happen until the week of Thanksgiving, at the earliest, which will mess with my mom's schedule. We were hoping to get it in the week before, but I have to have a full seven weeks of liquid diet, starting tomorrow, and we can't stint on that.
Oh, well, I think she'll still come out to be with me, even if it is that week. At least I won't be in the mood to eat the holiday meal!!
