I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

not your mom's socks.

That's wonderful news for you guys - congratulations JZ, Hec & Matilda!

This weekend I will be co-op teacher's assistant at the monthly free Saturday art classes at HKFan's school, then going to the school's picnic, where I will teach, from the looks of it, an origami craft. All, hopefully, without any more assistance from my medicine cabinet. So hooray, yay origami cups, baskets and (obviously) fortune tellers.

We were hoping to go to Baltimore this weekend, but the thought of being in a car that long makes me nauseous and stabby, so maybe we will chill here.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's amazingly good news. We were thrilled at the prospect of paying only $44/day. But now we'll not only be living within our means, but we'll have a bit of discretionary income.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Wow, terrific news for y'all!!!

And bribery will work wonders for transitional problems.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

That is AWESOME news, Hec!!

Everybody Dance!!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Hec, that is such great news!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Just this once, everybody lives!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am doing the part of my job that I fucking hate, and now I hear I might have been able to foist it off on to someone else! Next time...

Good news, Zmayhem!

But the truth is, music is more a part of my life than ever before, and it has nothing to do with the paying lessons. And you know, even if I weren't able to identify as a musician at all, it would be meaningless to my value as a human being.

It might be meaningless to your value as a human being, but it's still important to you. I'm just saying, don't feel bad for thinking about it.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yay, Hec!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

David, that is awesome. And I think your plan for managing the transition is probably spot on.

I myself will be spending the weekend trying to reacclimate and reassure the dog who was apparently kind of traumatized at being taken to my sister's for the week while I was away. And secondarily by my sister's Complete Failure to Maintain the Usual Schedule. Baby girl does not like change.

(Note: The outrage at the schedule thing is not coming from me, for the record. It's H's interpretation of the Looks that keep coming her way.

(Note the second: Pooh Case intentional.)

Because books.

That's excellent JZmayhem news.

ION, you will pry my convection oven from my cold dead hands. I've never had one before, but cookies that were supposed to take 7 to 9 minutes in the oven only took 4, and I baked two sheets at a time. And they're perfect!
