It's the only thing I really try and do, keep this job. I'm operating in a constant state of paranoia and conviction that it can't last, though.
if I had Matilda with me I'd drag myself out of the mountains on a bloody stump with her on my back.
I'm happy for both you and Matilda in this scenario. You have spoons in your back pockets.
I would really REALLY not recommend anyone strand me on a bad day with a child. Or a cat. Or themselves. But this is not something I can talk about without getting inordinately upset, and I'm at work, and this is no time for it.
Jesus, David.
Compassion comsmassion, you're causing emotional distress to a woman who can accidentally kill you with her thumb. Now where would Matilda be then?
(Besides surround by a crowd of cheering people becuase ita FINALLY got to kill someone with her thumb.)
In awesome news: Cubano sandwich for lunch!
(I guess that's only awesome news for me. Sorry, suckas!)
pffft, I don't like Cubano sandwiches, so there! I am going to have iced tea for lunch because I am still full from our late breakfast at IHOP!
I've never had one. we are probably behind the sandwich times here.
I did not want to make anyone feel bad and do not want anyone here to feel that they need to watch what they say to me.
Aw, no. You are the Nicest, after all!
because part of me wants to run and run and run.
See, that part just seems normal to me, because I've wanted to run away from my life for - well, most of my life, until now. The reason I admire the hell out of you is that you *won't*.
Unlike, for example, my aunt, who abandoned her daughter with lupus (and her husband and son as well), ran far away, married a rich man, and never had more children. Her son is her primary caretaker now, as she has dementia, and I know he isn't doing it joyfully. When he says he's doing it because he has no choice, he doesn't mean he loves her too much to abandon her, he means he doesn't have the money to put her in a nursing home.
God. How I Met Your Mother is not supposed to make you cry right?
I know, it was a good episode about family (and the autotune bit was a little bit of a gem)
