On the annoying platitude front I have a list:

And on a personal note anything about how we're the right parents for a sick kid with cerebral palsy or that we must be so strong etc piss me OFF more than I can say. I think this uses an older sense of "prove" as "test". An exception tests a rule - if it proves to be true, the rule is false. Like, finding one black swan tests the rule "all swans are white" and proves it false.

I want to have a sit-down and a come-to-jesus with your doctor like you cannot believe, ita. There's no reason not to write scrips for a month, and given what he's prescribing for, the added stress of running short and scrambling to refill is Not Cool and completely counterintuitive.
