I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's rotten, ita.

I will be watching No Ordinary Family in about an hour and a half, fwtw.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The exception proves the rule.

I think this uses an older sense of "prove" as "test". An exception tests a rule - if it proves to be true, the rule is false. Like, finding one black swan tests the rule "all swans are white" and proves it false.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They finally got me seen to. God freaking damn.

Being unwell is bad enough. Why does the establishment have to suck?

serial:

Like, finding one black swan tests the rule "all swans are white" and proves it false.

Except no one is using it that way. So it doesn't use that sense at all.

ita, I hope that things are resolved for you at least from a pharmacy perspective.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Zen, Snopes addresses and debunks that one (which had been my understanding, as well)

Thanks. For two weeks I am good. I hope not to be back moaning then.

Because books.

I want to have a sit-down and a come-to-jesus with your doctor like you cannot believe, ita. There's no reason not to write scrips for a month, and given what he's prescribing for, the added stress of running short and scrambling to refill is Not Cool and completely counterintuitive.

Two weeks of meds is depressing as hell.

We are currently using a non-optimal med because we have to wait until 10/15 before they will refill the optimal med. It's a fucking drag. And we can't get an authorization for more g-tubes even though ours NEVER last the promised 3 months. The best we get are 6 weeks.
