"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

This morning, my yogurt exploded all over me and my chair, and then had the audacity to have a spot of mold. Everything went downhill from there.

Or I should say it's still going, because I haven't left work yet.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Such a large temptation to link to the Misha kefir picture for what would be the second time today.

I need to mix up my game.

hip deep in pie

DaisyJane, your pain sounds similar to my back pain, which is caused by compressed disk. The swelling and compression causes the pain to radiate out into my hip and butt, sometimes into my thigh. For me, it's standing, carrying things and walking that aggravate it.

I went for physio for a while which helped, and she gave me some exercises which work...but I tend to slack when it's not hurting and things get ouchy again.

For immediate relief, ice on the back where compression swelling is help to take the swelling downa dn relieve pressure on the nerves. But I also use heat on the muscles that get tensed up if there's a day of walking around where I don't get a chence to get much relief.

1800x1440. My bad. Apparently the monitor is eight years old. No one else can possibly want it, can they?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

David, I hope you guys get it, regardless of the PITA paperwork hoops.

Anyone have (seriously) 5 mins to looksee at a cover letter I wrote for a job I would really, really like? The Exec Director of a PT position I didn't get said she was forwarding my resume to this position opening up; it posted today, and OMG, perfect.

I don't need a finetooth comb, just a glance. (Profile addy good, FYI)

I made an apricot curry chicken, and it was really good! Today has been pretty productive (sorry, peeps whose days sucked.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

David, I hope you guys get it, regardless of the PITA paperwork hoops.

Lordy, it would be like a trifecta of good news.

It would be sort of like when I got hired at my last law firm job which pulled me out of dire financial straits, got my shit back in order and allowed me to move forward with my commitment to JZ (getting married, having kids).

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

brown rice and black-eyed peas for dinner. Goya recaito really is just the easiest way to make beans taste yum. I decided that trying to cook right now was really just too much on my plate, so I am eating the few things I have already made (rice & beans) and then am buying whatever frozen things are on sale at the Super Target each week, plus some samplings from their frozen ethnic food selections.

Aw, my neighbor's tenants feel comfortable enough to ask to borrow a corkscrew. I'd told them if they ever needed anything to let me know, so glad to be of help. Plus, P got to meet Loki and discover he IS friendly (first time she met him, I was carrying him back inside as she was coming out, and it started him and he hissed at her and went all halloween cat. ) Of course, he showed HOW friendly and practically leapt into her arms. He always acts like he needs to go home with any taker.

...AND they just returned it with bonus piece of crumb cake!

Fresh from the oven, nutty nummy crumb cake. I like college students who like to bake!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I didn't get offered the Comcast customer service job, which was a part-time gig that would only net me around $260/week before taxes... so I can't get too worked up about it. Yet... I can't even get a goddamn customer service job?!
