I'm sorry. You were going to ask me to choose, right? Did you want to finish?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We were going to go to the MD Renn Faire today, but we woke up to find it raining, which the forecast said it wouldn't do until this evening. I guess we'll be going in mid-October. (The only other weekend we have available)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's my mom's birthday, and that makes me feel even more shitty about not getting my act together for some reason.

It's Matilda's birthday too. Nice to know she shares it with your mom, brenda.

She woke up and I told her she was now 4, and she jumped out of bed to share the news. We're going to a classmates bday party today, so her actual party is not until next week (when Emmett is back from his trip).

But I called Emmett and had him on the line while I had her open his present to her: a Unicorn! A nice plush one with a golden horn, and a bejeweled chest, and nice detailing at the fetlocks.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cindy, first, JEALOUS of Clarrie visitage. Second, I'm useless for reds. I'm a Reisling drinker. Beer, again, I'm useless because I prefer light ales and wheat beers. Not sure if Clarrie's into stronger, darker beers. It's the season for Octoberfest brews throughtout though and you might have some luck there.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And no human face, right?

I drink a fair amount of wine, but well below your price point so not much help there.

For beers, I'd go for something local - always more interesting than the majors. I lean towards pale ales, but at this time of year there should be some interesting seasonals out.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

How much do I love that Emmett got her a unicorn?! Good bro, dude.

Happy bday to Matilda!!!

I am off to the gym, library and grocery store, then home to try to do some yard clean-up, flea dip the dog and then maybe attack my bedside table of book doom, move the shelves upstairs.

But then I will have the new Sheri Tepper book, and I am making pork chops, roasted potatoes and roasted calififlower for dinner tonight. Mmm. Catch the last ep of Terriers, hot shower with a salt scrub and then tucked up under the comforter reading.

Aw, Cash is me. Or I am Cash.

Happy birthday, Matilda!

By the way, Rogue has a Juniper Pale Ale out right now that is fantastic.

Correct.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm sorry about Pearl, Theresa.

Happy birthday, Matilda!

Spidra, glad you made a new friend!

Suzi, it's wonderful, and amazing, that your cousin is recovering so well.

Since Tokaji is made from grapes infected with the "noble rot", I wonder if I, being very allergic to mold, would have a bad reaction to drinking it?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So I'm at work again, which totally means that I'm due some comp time. I wonder which day of the week next week would be good to ask for a day off?
