This girl at school? She told me that gelatin is made from ground-up cow's feet and that every time you eat Jell-O there's some cow out there limping around without any feet. But I told her that I'm sure the cow is dead before they cut its feet off, right?

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Hey, my forcing myself to be more outgoing today yet trying to rein in my rougher edges must have worked! Someone just friended me on FB saying it was nice to meet me. Yay, I didn't totally fuck up!

Kelly went up to Apple Hill today with one of her friends. They had a great time wandering the various orchards and buying yummy treats.

On their way home, the stopped to visit my cousin, J. The one who had been in that horrible car wreak. She is out of her thumb brace and has motion in her hand. Don't know if she has full motion, but knowing all the reconstruction they had to do, any motion is great. Her hair is growing out...basically at a buzz cut length. She is still in the hard neck brace, but is on track to move out of that by November. The biggest news is that she is down to once a month speech therapy. When I saw her last she was having weekly speech therapy and cognition therapy.

I'm so glad they stopped by. J is on my mind a lot and I have found myself tracking the Giants progress since J is such a fan. If they make the post season, I'll have to send her an obnoxious card. And then root for them so she can collect on the World Series bet I made for her.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So sorry, Theresa.

I'm very fond of Folie A Deux's Menage a Trois Red

My friend's parents used to own that winery, until they went through a stunningly bad divorce. Pretty sure they sold it.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Cindy, I emailed you a list of reds. It's hard to know what any given store will have, but something on my list ought to be there. As for beer, right now is a perfect time to get an Oktoberfest beer, and honestly, Sam Adams' Oktoberfest is quite good. (So I remember. Grumble.)

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'd like to know why I was irrevocably awake at 6 on a sunday. Not worth trying to go back to sleep for 90 minutes. Will try after than, but kinda feels like it won't work already.

I'm *still* up. It's nearly 4am here. I hope you're able to get more sleep, sara.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

hi sara, right there with you. I at least know that part of why I am awake is that I was in bed by 9:30.

The past 2 nights mac has refused to go to bed when I said it was time, so I just went myself. Friday he then came and woke me up and ended up sleeping with me. Last night I set the ground rules that if he did not go to bed on time, he had to sleep in his own room and not wake me up. I have no idea when he went to bed.

I found out something interesting from a psychologist this week. After hearing about various mac behaviors he said he would screen him for Asperger's when we have the psych eval in late Oct, but that children who have neglect very early on in their lives (first few years) often will test on the autism spectrum but can then grow out of the symptoms. found that fascinating. For those of you that watch Parenthood, a lot of what mac does on a daily basis is similar to things they highlight wrt Max.
